need help with custom css, floated divs, and display of posts
-
Hi,
First time posting on here, and I’m pretty new to WordPress in general. I’m not particularly new to CSS though.
My page (under development) is here: http://www.liamandamanda.com. It has not been launched yet.
The problem that I’m having is that the main content div, which displays the content of the posts and is on the left hand side of my box (you’ll see on the page), does not want to extend down to the bottom of any posts that might be displayed for whichever category you’re looking at.
Normally, with css floats I would use a div that clears both columns (to push the bottom of the box below the content), the content div and the sidebar div, but this didn’t quite do the trick I was looking for. So I used the overflow property to estimate the results that I wanted. I’m not too familiar with overflow, and it seems that it is cutting off my content before I want it to. I want the div to adjust to whatever amount of content comes up depending on which category/month is being viewed.
My stylesheets are here:

Sorry – page is here: http://www.liamandamanda.com/blog.
Also, for an example of how the content/overflow is getting chopped, look at the September archives.

Yeah, I just read the sticky post about the .com vs. .org difference… sorry for the time-waster.
Thanks for the other link. I’ll head that way!
