Need help with custom DNS management

  I have set up custom domain on wordpress.com. My wordpress blog url was http://www.freepythontips.wordpress.com. I added pythontips.com to the DNS panel and it is working correctly.

  What I would like to know is that can I point a subdomain like beta.pythontips.com to a domain on Digital Ocean? I have a server on DO with the ip of 45.55.251.11 Let me know if this is possible :)
