Hi,
The “Edin” theme has those spaces for 1. Site Identity and 2. Hero Section
Check out the theme’s setup guide here – Getting Started
If you’re on the WordPress.com business plan its possible to remove the spacing with a little custom CSS!
Have a read of the docs and let me know if you still want help removing the spacing above and below your menu. (providing your on the business plan)
Cheers,

Thank you Benjh82 ,
i just forgot to mention… i’m just discovering WordPress and i’m a bit lost :/
yes i m on the business plan.
At the moment i noticed, regarding the section 2 (Hero section) , it want me to add a page title on this space, and if i don’t, the page has no name as title, anyway the space stays as blanck space .
so i don’t get it ^^
(hopefully you ll understand what i mean, i’m french and i’m not sure my english is correct :p )
so yep i just want to remove those spaces but keep a name on each page…
:pCheers

Hey fishthemall,
We all get lost from time to time, so don’t worry about it.
Before we start removing the space you should know that you wont be able to add a site title or logo in the Site Identity section of the website as we’re removing it so we lose that white space. Are you ok with that?
If your ok to proceed, we can remove the white space above and below your menu by adding this custom CSS to your Additional CSS field in Customize.
Navigate to My Site > Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS or Customize > Additional CSS
Add the following code to Additional CSS
.site-branding { display: none; } .hero { display: none; }Let me know how you get on, hope that does the trick!

hmm, while i’m here.. i have a last question then i ll be ready to go ,
i did remove the wordpress logo on the footer but it still appearing.
( looks like in the Edin template the wordpress logo is whriten twice, so when i remove it, there still one staying, it’s kind of annoying :/ ) -
Bonjour!
Have you seen the footer credit options in customize?
Go to My Site > Appearance > Customize > Site Identity > Footer Credit
With business plan you should see an option to Hide.Let me know if this fixes it for you.
P.S. Your English is great….A lot better than my French!

Ok, we can fully remove the footer link by adding this to the Additional CSS section in Customize
My Site > Appearance > Additional CSS >
`.site-footer a {
display: none;
}That should do it!

Sorry, forgot to close the code tag
Copy and paste the code from here:
.site-footer a { display: none; } -
Sry for the delay…
Thank you,
yes for sure it does the work but i’m using the footer, so i had to see with the support team and the problem is solved :p
There were a known problem with the Edin thème so i had to add a new short code to remove the mention.
