Need help with exporting my blog

  I am trying to export my blog to a self-hosting site. I know that WP lists the four sites it’s willing to do the exporting via a guided transfer, but can I please pay WP to export to a site that is not on WP’s recommended list? I keep getting an error message when I try to do it myself.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Go to Dashboard, Tools, Export to xml file. This should work for any hosting site using the Import tool.

  If it’s not working for you then maybe the file is too large.
