Need help with facebook posting/link not appearing correctly.

  My blog appears strangely now when it automatically posts to my facebook page. Here is what it says:

  Deb Scally Photography
  Pizazz! http://wp.me/s1ngKn-pizazz

  It used to look right, like this one:
  Deb Scally shared a link via WordPress.com.

  1) Why is that odd looking link showing up in FB? Any idea how I can fix it? 2)Why is this not posting to my personal FB page? It is only posting to the NewsFeed. This only recently started happening. Thanks for any help.

  Hi Deb – Do you mean that “wp.me” link? If so, that’s our shortlink. I’m not sure why the full link was displaying before, but it’s normal for the shortlink to display.

  Why is this not posting to my personal FB page? It is only posting to the NewsFeed.

  I see it on your page here. Is that not the page it should be posting to?

  OK, sorry, as to the last point, that was my bad. It is posting to a new business page I created. But the first point still puzzles me. I hate those shortlinks, as they look like spam. For nearly two years I have had my account set up to post to FB and it always said “Deb Scally shared a link via WordPress” and then the posting would appear below. Just wasn’t sure if I had done something to change the way that appeared now.

  Hi there – I see what you mean. I do agree that the link there looks a bit messy – but to some extent how Facebook displays the information we send is on their end. I note that a post I shared a few days ago had that shortlink showing, but the one I shared last night does not. It’s possible this was temporary.

  Can you let me know next time you publish a post if the link shows on Facebook?

  OK, I will watch it and let you know. Perhaps it was a FB issue, as you said.
