Need help with Forever

  I have been setting this blog up to look just like the example shown in http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/forever/ — with a slider at the top, and a grid of recent posts below. I have marked the posts I wanted in the slider as sticky posts and uploaded the images as featured images. Everything was going splendidly and I loved the look of the site and suddenly it came up as something entirely different — just a list of posts. What happened? How do I get the slider and grid back?

  by the way, in case someone else has the same issue with Forever Theme: the featured images need to be at least 887 pixels wide for the slider to show up. I had set them at 880. it worked for awhile and then quit (who knows why –the world is a mysterious place) but when I enlarged them to 890, it reappeared.
