Need help with Gazette or similar theme

    I’ve tried many different themes and found Gazette accommodates the basic setup I’d like with my lack of design skills, but it’s still not right. Can I customize the colors beyond the few options Gazette provides? Also, there’s a large empty space under the header to the right of the two images, a vertical rectangle, but no way to edit that space. I’d like to add an image or text there, but can’t figure out how. Or is there a similar theme where I can have the main header image and two images beneath with text, like the setup I have now, but with more (or different) color options? Can someone look at my site and advise me? I’m a writer, not a designer. Greatly appreciated!

    Hi, some themes offer some custom color options. The number of options vary. To set custom colors outside of what is offered in the Customizer, you would need the WordPress.com Premium Plan upgrade, which includes Custom Design feature and the ability to add custom CSS for things like color and other styling changes.
