Need help with importing sites from wordpress.org

  I currently have a site with wordpress.com (newenglandlightopera.org.) I want to add a site I have on wordpress.org to this account and register and host it on wordpress.com (markdmorgan.com.) BUT I don’t want them to re-direct to one or the other–I want two discreet sites. So 1) how do I switch the markdmorgan.com site over to wordpress.com, and 2) how do I keep both and not have one be the “primary”?

  Hi there,

  What you can do is create a brand new account on WordPress.com with an email that is not associated with another account on WordPress.com. Create a site there and Import your WordPress.org site into this new site.

  Once it’s there, you can purchase a Domain Mapping to have your domain: markdmorgan.com point to this new site.

  This way you will have two different sites on WordPress.com without having to make a primary, but you will have 2 separate account.
