Need help with my account
-
Years ago I started a WordPress blog under thedancinggoat.wordpress.com. The computer that I started it on is now dead and the email for that site was (email visible only to moderators and staff). I no longer have that domain so cannot get the email to change the password. I started this but there is no way to drag over my blogs from the other account and it would not match with what I have posted on Faceboook and other areas over the years. The blog traced my entry into goat farming, my livechanging trip to Italy and various other musings about the farm. I really need to get back into blogging. Can someone please help me get into my old account? Is there a direct email to WordPress? I have tried going through recovery but I don’t have the transaction ID, two digit id or any of that original information as the computer is dead. My current email is (email visible only to moderators and staff). My old WordPress addy was thedancinggoat.wordpress.com That is the one I want to continue. And can someone email me to help? I have no idea how to get in the forums.

Hi thedancinggoat,
The best way to move forward would be to recover the email account originally associated with thedancinggoat.wordpress.com. The email you posted is redacted for confidentiality.
If you would like help starting the email account recovery, please let me know which service you went through (Gmail, Yahoo, Exchange/Outlook, etc) and we’ll try to point you in the right direction.

The email was one that went though my domain (at the time). I have let that domain go years ago and no longer have access to that email to retrieve my account. It possibly was forwarded to my current email address but I believe everything was saved in my old computer and that is now dead.

Hi thedancinggoat83 –
Thanks for writing to us. We do require some proof of ownership in order to recover or grant access to that account.
More about that can be found here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/account-recovery/
