Need help with my blog appearance

It’s been almost six months since I have launched my personal paid blog http://firsttimemommy.net/. In spite of writing good and regular content, I have not yet been able to achieve enough followers and traction. Can you please suggest if something’s wrong with the appearance of my blog; do I need to change font, theme etc. anything to make it look more interesting and better appealing.

How many is enough? What kind of traction are you looking for?
Theme changes are nearly irrelevant, provided you haven’t customized your blog into something horrible and illegible. The only serious drawbacks visually I see are that you haven’t vertically tiled your background image and it’s rather dull without colour. But those, I assure you, are not the reasons your blog is not getting “enough” followers or traction.
There are literally over a thousand tips in the forum on increasing your readership and engagement. A simple search will turn them up.

I am agreed with raincoaster. The design is just fine. One thing that i wanted to say is the wrong use of keywords in Titles. I have seen that mostly Moms or such Blog owners do not care about the keywords in the title.
They’d start writing whatever came up to their mind…whether it is personal, business, social, local, worldwide or anything.
So I’d suggest focusing on a particular topic instead of writing on anything without giving any optimized titles.Regards.

That’s some very sound advice from both of you…Thanks so much. I will try to follow it. And I agree we mommy bloggers concentrate more on writing rather than think of blog optimization. I will take care of it and also go through other forums for how to increase my readership. Thanks guys.
