Need help with my blog name-I’m doing something wrong!

  This is my first attempt at blogging, so please be gentle with me!
  I tried to name my blog “Ohnoyoudidnt” and as far as I can tell, WordPress named it “Ohnoyoudidntcom”. I then tried to create a second, different, blog and the word “com” seems to be added to the end of that blog name as well. How do I fix this?

  I haven’t heard that before but the only thing I can think of is that someone has already registered that name and blog, so you’re unable to claim it; I’m guessing that the com was added as a way of differentiating them, like adding a (1) to the end of the blog.

  A quick check came up with this so I’m guessing that’s what happened, unless that is your blog? Blog names can’t be recycled or reused, even if the blog isn’t being used. If you want that name your best bet is to leave a comment asking to contact the blog admin about him handing it over to you.

  Interesting! No, I don’t have ohnyoudidnt, so that must be what happened. It’s possible that as I was creating the blog name, WordPress added the “com” to the end of it and I approved it without noticing.
