Need help with Nucleare Theme

Hey everyone! I am new to blogging and WordPress. I love the format of the Nucleare theme. However, I am having so much trouble figuring out how to get mine set up the way the example looks. Can someone please point me in the right direction? Thanks so much!

I would like to add a “READ MORE” button. The only thing it is doing when I follow the directions i find is adding […] or just putting the words “read more” but no actual button. I would also like help just setting it all up. On my home page my pictures are huge. I have tried making them smaller in paint but that didn’t help. I want it to be easy to see but not so big. I am sure I have many other questions, but for now, just those.

Your theme automatically adds the Read More button if you add a more-tag to your posts. You add this tag using a button in the editor toolbar while editing individual posts:

This is still not what I want. All that does is put the […] at the end instead of an actual button that says “READ MORE.” I took screenshots of what I mean but it won’t let me attach them here.

@chandlerashley I’m looking at the most recent post. Can you try adding a “more” tag to it?

As far as I can tell, none of your posts have that.
Also, I noticed you’re posting with the “image” format, which generally isn’t intended for longer format posts. You might try changing to the standard post format to see if that helps. Are you using the image format intentionally?
