Need help with orphaned blog
-
Hello,
I am trying to get into my company’s blog. it is http://leanlogistics.wordpress.com. I believe it to be orphaned after a marketing person has left and they did not leave any account information to get in.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, we are probably going to upgrade it to a paid account once we can get in.
Thanks,
Erik -

This support forum is for blogs hosted at WordPress.com. If your question is about a self-hosted WordPress blog then you’ll find help at the WordPress.org forums.

If you’re asking for help for your wordpress blog then ask a question here. But if you’re begging on the name orphans then support forum is not the best place for charity show.

Yes, I am trying to get back into a blog. I know the URL and have figured out the user name but can’t get a password reset email to work. Definitely need help with that.

Go to http://leanlogistics.wordpress.com/wp-admin
There you click “forgot password” and reset your password. -

When we register a username account at WordPress.com we provide and email address and that email address becomes our unique identifier at WordPress.com. http://en.support.wordpress.com/email-address/ -
So I have no clue what email address is registered to this account, I never get an email when I try to reset the password.

Perhaps you can convince Staff that you are the creator of that blog but that will not be done here on this forum. Please contact Staff directly for assistance as we Volunteers cannot help you with this issue.

Ahh, I opened up a form with them a week ago and haven’t heard back, thanks for your help. I am getting desperate so I figured I would try here as well.

When we create a support ticket by contacting Staff it’s important to understand they have a backlog. They deal with the support tickets with the earliest dates furst. So if we contact them more than once of the same issue the date moves forward and it takes longer to get help.

In the meantime, you can start a NEW blog, purchase the Custom Domain, and get blogging. Then, when the old one lets you in, you can export the contents and import them to this new blog.
That’s only a viable option if the old blog is getting no traffic or incoming links, though.
