Need Help with Potential WordPress blog/site

Hello. I have a client who might potentially want to register with WordPress.com using a custom url. I want to be the webmaster for this WordPress site but want her to be able to create a contact form that can be linked to via her primary url, which is a domain she owns but does not currently have content on. She will put her gmail address on this site once i create the page for her and she will ALSO have the WordPress contact form onto this primary url. So people will be able essentially to email her directly using the contact form or by sending her a gmail with the address that will be on the page also. How does having a WordPress.com blog factor into this? If I am the blog webmaster, how will SHE be able to connect the WordPress contact page to her primary url? I might again be designing the primary url content, so it is a matter of her being able to RECEIVE any emails that are sent to her via the contact form. I do NOT want to receive emails for her blog unless they are addressed to me as the webmaster. I want HER to be able to receive and reply to emails from the contact form and have immediate notification of emails. Any help is appreciated. I have a similar setup at https://djthink.com (my own url) so you can look to that page for an example–the contact link is at the very bottom when you scroll down… it is my WordPress contact page).

    Hi,

Yes, you can set the new site up so that you and your client have separate accounts, and also, you can set the contact form so that it sends to a specific email address.

Here’s some more information about the contact form: https://en.support.wordpress.com/forms/contact-form/

and more about user roles: https://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/

    Hope this helps!

thanks “nohope” (though i firmly believe in hope and all of its miracles). I might add that I knew that installing a wordpress site from scratch through wordpress.org would allow for all of those roles to be created by the administrator. just wasn’t aware of the potential of the basic sites that wordpress.com offers . still not to clear without watching the video of how exactly an administrator will receive emails vs just the ones received by the post author (if the admin is not the post author)… only one way to find out and that is to try it first hand. will attempt some experiments. thanks for your speedy reply! peace.

Great, glad to help! I believe in hope, too, but that can be our little secret. :)
