Need help with pricing changes

  If I go on the personal plan today and get charged $50 and then decide next week or next month that I want to go premium, do I get prorated?

  What about downgrading in middle from premium to personal?

  With a Premium plan, you get a full refund up to 30 days from your purchase. So if you decided to upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time within 30 days you can cancel it and buy another plan or keep the free plan.

  To cancel your purchase and obtain a refund, please use the Cancel button on Purchases page.

  I just wanted to add more information on this.

  If you cancel the plan after the 30-day, your Premium plan will continue to run until the next renewal date. There are no incremental refunds. https://en.support.wordpress.com/refunds/

  Hi chabaduzhgorod,

  If you upgrade your plan to Premium, you will only pay the difference in cost between the two plans. The exact amount of the difference will depend on how close you are to the Personal plan’s expiration date. The clock will also reset on the expiration of the plan.

  As far as downgrading is concerned, @pankajkumr has provided accurate information. If you cancel the plan after 30 days, your Premium plan will continue to run until the next renewal date. There are no incremental refunds.

  Hi there,

  Just wanted to add one more bit of information.

  When you purchase a plan that includes the cost of registering a custom domain. Domain purchases can only be canceled during the first 48 hours after purchase. So if you get a custom domain as part of your purchased plan and cancel to use the Free Plan after 48 hours you will only be refunded the portion of your purchase that did not go towards the domain purchase.
