Need help with setting up albums in Snaps theme

  • Unknown's avatar

I have another WordPress.com blog. For that one, it’s easy to add text, individual pics, or GIFs, one at a time, to any webpage or blog post.

Today I started another one, for photography. Snaps theme. However, I can’t figure out how to make albums at all.
Maybe I am missing the instructions? :-/
I’d like it to look like the one on the Snaps page – would love to have a front page with pics, and when one clicks on the pick, it takes you to an album.

My new blog is here EmbraceRadiance (my new blog for photography)

The theme I am using is here:

    Snaps theme on WordPress

How do I go about starting? For now, everything keeps coming out as a regular webpage, which isn’t what I want.

    thanks much for your time

I have no idea why this forum added the tag “The blog I need help with is kaiserscience.wordpress.com.” I never wrote that! Don’t need help with that one.

Rather, it is the new photography one, embraceradiance, that I need a start with.

(Separate issue: Why can’t we edit our own posts here?)

    Thanks.

  • Hi kaiserscience – you’ll find the setup guide for Snaps here: https://wordpress.com/themes/snaps/ The section Portfolio explains how to set it up.

In a nutshell, you’ll need to:

    1. Set your front page to a static page
    2. Assign your new front page to the Portfolio Page Template.
    3. Add portfolio projects at https://embraceradiance.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=jetpack-portfolio – which I see you’ve already started to do.

If you need further help, let us know!

Unfortunately that’s not a feature this version of bbPress (forum software) offers – I know it can be annoying.
