Need help with static front page
-
I want to have a static front page but I cannot figure out how to get my blog to show up as a drop down option. I am new to all this! Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Did you create a second page such as Blog and then designate it as the page for posts and add it into your custom menu?
See the instructions at https://wordpress.com/theme/dara

This is a one or the other situation. You have two choices on any blog
(1) All posts on the front page.
(2) Or a static front page http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/ and all posts on a different page. In that case you can create a Page for the Home page https://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/#create-a-new-page first and create one for your Posts/Blog then designate a static front page.Provided you are logged in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered the site go to
http://NAME_OF_BLOG.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-reading.php to make the designation.
* You will, of course, have to replace NAME_OF_BLOG with your own site’s name in that URL.

Hello, I have a similar problem that I am trying to work out. I have a couple of different pages that will be part of my site (Blog, Recipe of today, Lifestyle, Near Me, Contact, and About). I am hoping to make the home page of the site display my most recent posts from Blog, Recipe, Lifestyle and Near Me and then have them on the sidebar as separate pages. I just can’t seem to figure out how to make this happen! Thank you for any help everyone. The site is miganlifestyle.wordpress.com
