Need help with the Portfolio for the Minimum Theme
-
Hello,
I don’t see the portfolio on my blog. I found “answers” to my question in a previous post from Aug 2012, however the answers are not working for me. I added the category “portfolio” and then went back and added that category to previous posts. I selected the Genesis – Featured Posts Widget, configured the settings and placed it into the Portfolio category in the Widgets list. I also set my image as the featured image when I edited my previous post. But I still don’t see the portfolio. I did create a portfolio page, but I would like to use the widget.
I did try posting in the forum, but nobody is responding.
Thanks for your help. -
Hi there,
First let me ask if you saw the Minimum Support page which is located here:
http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/minimum/support/
There is information about how to create a portfolio page using the widget there. I also verified that you do have the portfolio widget. Please make sure that you configure it as instructed in that support document and then activate it by dragging it in to one of your sidebar locations.

Yes, I did see that and it is not helpful. I did try moving the Genesis – Featured Page Widget into the 2nd Sidebar box. It did show up there. But it does not show up in the portfolio box. And I don’t know why.

Heya,
I apologize, but looking at your site it appears that the Featured Page widget is in use. Do you still need assistance with this?

Thanks for asking. Somehow I eventually got the portfolio to show up. I was unable to get text in feature area, but I think it is OK for now. I think I just need to play with all of the options until I get what I have in mind. I don’t think I need any further assistance at this point. Thanks again.

I’m thrilled to hear that it is working for you! Fantastic job getting things how you like them!
