Need Help with the Vigilance Theme

  I love the look of the Vigilance theme, except I hate the way it handles nested comments. I want to use nested comments because it’s easier to follow conversations; however, I hate how Vigilance is making each successive reply narrower and narrower. Eventually comments in reply to other comments just look ridiculously narrow. Is there any way to fix this?

  If you do have a fix for this, step by step instructions would be most appreciated. I’m new to blogging and have never mucked about with CSS or html before.

  I’m not even sure this can be changed with CSS editing. CSS editing is for changing appearance and not functionality. As only 2 Volunteers here provide CSS help you will have to wait until they post and let you know if it can be done via CSS editing or not.

  It can be adjusted a little bit with the CSS upgrade, but this is not just a vigilance issue. Anytime you have nested comments you will have this issue, no matter which theme you are using, and is partly a function of the theme content area width.

  One suggestion is to cut down on the number of levels of nesting that you allow at settings > discussion.

  Thank you all for your help. It’s too bad that the amount of indenting is so great… I may look into other themes because of this issue.

  @panaghiotisadam: I didn’t realise you were active in this forum, since this was my first visit here. I found your other thread first by searching for the keyword Vigilance. I posted in both places just looking for a response from someone, not realizing that you’d be the one answering in both locations.
