Hi there,
I appreciate your reach out for help here. However, it seems like your site is hosted through a different hosting provider and you are using the free, open-source version of WordPress, rather than our managed WordPress.com hosting services.
The issue you’re facing is significantly complex because we’re limited in our ability to resolve issues directly for sites that are not hosted on our platform. The reason is that we lack administrative access to all the related server configurations, databases, and other backend details linked with such websites. Our managed hosting provides a more convenient, secure, and optimized WordPress experience, with the convenience of professional WordPress support. You can learn more about our hosting at this URL: https://wordpress.com/hosting
However, there’s an option to easily transfer your site from its current host to our managed hosting. This would not only provide you with the aforementioned benefits of our platform, but also allow us to assist more directly and promptly with any issues you might face in the future. You can find details about this easy process with our migration plugin on this link:
The Move to WordPress.com plugin allows you to start migrating a self-hosted WordPress site to WordPress.com directly from the self-hosted site. Prerequisites The Move to WordPress.com plugin installed on your self-hosted WordPress site. All incompatible plugins deactivated on the self-hosted site. ✅ There is no need to create a site on WordPress.com before you get starNonetheless, while we may not be able to provide direct assistance as your site isn’t hosted on our platform, you may find useful support by appealing to the community support forums for the open-source version of WordPress which your site currently utilizes. The community experts there have the resources and knowledge to handle a vast range of issues associated with the open-source WordPress platform.
You can reach out to them through the following link: https://wordpress.org/support/forum/how-to-and-troubleshooting/
I hope you find this information helpful. We’re always here to provide guidance and support in any way we can within our reach.

Actually, our site is hosted on WordPress. I’m messaging from a different free profile from wordpress. I was in our dashboard earlier today and changed the url for our website (under the General Settings tab), and upon clicking Save I got locked out of accessing the dashboard completely, and our public site doesn’t load either. Specifically, what I changed was “talentfish.io” to “talentfish.com” in the general settings and that kicked me out completely. How can we reset it to a previous state, such as yesterday’s state? At this point, just to get the website working again, that’s all we need.

Hi again,
As mentioned previously we can’t help with your issue directly because we don’t host talentfish.io on our WordPress.com managed hosting.
To explain why this is a barrier to our ability to help, we customized version of WordPress that is different (under the hood) from what you use at Bluehost. Specifically we use a different method for changing your site address on WordPress.com so we can’t walk you through how to address this on your site.
The good news is that your hosting provider may be able to help in this instance. I recommend contacting Bluehost for further assistance with setting your site back to the original address. They are in the best position to help, and once they set the site back to it’s original address you will be able to reconnect and see the content hosted with Bluehost.
If you prefer to do this yourself and not involve Bluehost support, you can also ask in the community forums for the open-source WordPress software, which is the variant of the platform that your host uses. Folks in this forum are more familar with this kind of address change and may be able to walk you through it.

Hope this helps point you in the right direction!
