Need Login plugin for a neighborhood site that doesn’t require a plan upgrade

  We have a neighborhood road association site and I want to feature members-only content. No e-comm or rev generating activities, just want to put the neighborhood directory and Road Association content behind a user login. Are there any plugin that don’t require that a pay to upgrade my plan?

  Hi! If a site needs to use plugins on WordPress.com then it’d still want the Business plan for that (and of course for the other features it provides too):

  However if you’re looking for a way to work around that then what I could suggest is either setting a password on those pages using the Page Visibility Settings or possibly creating a secondary WordPress.com site which is set to private, and where you can invite the members of your association to be viewers on the private site. We have a guide to inviting people to your site in case of need.
