I have a site (not attached to this UID) on wordpress that I have forgotten both my UserID as well as password. I have followed (what is by the way a massively irritating usage issue) the process of going to the support article, which tells me to go to the https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword link, and click the “Need More Help” button. This button has been replaced with copy stating if I need more help to follow the link which loops me back to the support page covering lost passwords. When I try to get support, I am informed only upgraded users can contact support. As it happens, I am (wordpress is hosting this site under a custom domain), but as I CAN NOT log in, I can not get support. I NEED HELP getting access to my account. Also, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, fix this insane loop in your user experience.

Feel free to reach me at the email address attached to this account or post back and I can provide my contact information.

You did not specify a blog address or reason for posting when you created this topic.

This support forum is for blogs hosted at WordPress.com. If your question is about a self-hosted WordPress blog then you’ll find help at the WordPress.org forums.

If you don’t understand the difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org, you may find this information helpful.

If you forgot to include a link to your blog, you can reply and include it below. It’ll help people to answer your question.

    Dear supportbot,

This is the reason severing all HUMAN customer support ties, and using robots that have no contextual knowledge of messages is a shit idea.

The account I am logged in as is a shell account I used so I could make a post. The account I want to access is unavailable, as I have forgotten the cred’s. The posted process to recover the creds is broken.

I am glad wordpress can be ran on so few actual humans, but this is very frustrating.
