My domain is not under my account. I need the DNS to be switched and need access to my domain. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!!

Read the error message:You can’t get there from here (site_id mismatch error). This happens when an external blog (a self-hosted blog using the Stats plugin) is pointed to WordPress.com by DNS. If you are trying to migrate away from WordPress.com, please update your DNS to point the domain to your own server. Otherwise please contact WordPress.com support and explain what you were trying to do, what steps you took, what you expected to happen, and what actually happened. It’s probably Andy’s fault.
Clarify exactly what you are trying to do please.

I’m trying to point DNS servers to my hosting with hostgator. My domain isn’t currently doing that. However, I can’t get a hold of my domain information that use to be connected to this wp account.

@supernovia I just remember that when I tried to update my email it wouldnt allow. The email you may have used isn’t valid. May you please email [redacted] Thanks!

This is a public support forum available to everyone with internet access. Staff can read redacted email addresses posted in the normal format. The rest of us can’t read them. Sadly you posted an email address that Staff will now remove so you don’t get spammed.

The wordpress.COM user can change the relevant email address on their accounts page at https://wordpress.com/me/account at any time.

Idk what to do. I’ve tried updated my email to every email possible and it won’t allow me. I need my domain to work today. I’ve had this issue for over a week. please advice??? Thank you!

Can’t they remove it once they email me what I need to do?? Unfortunately all I get is that I can’t update my email. I have no idea what to do.

No I don’t. Staff have to contact the domain registrar and wait for them to reply that takes at least one or two days.

Note also that Staff work through all forum threads tagged for their attention and through all email support tickets in order of date stamps – first posted first served, as would be expected. How complex the support issue is in any thread and how long it will take to be resolved varies.
