Need my domain name back – STAFF ATTENTION NEEDED

Hello, I would like to retrieve the domain name asteradvisory.com which is registered with wordpress. Unfortunately I deleted the website, and like many, many others who are experiencing the same issue as me, was unaware that deleting the website means the domain name is irretrievable. I deleted the site thinking I could use the domain with another service, but frustratingly learned that this is not the case. I have seen on other threads that a staff member is usually able to retrieve the domain name, which I would like to reinstate. Please, PLEASE help me with this situation. The domain name is my company name and it is very important I be able to re-access it. Thanks so much!

The authors have deleted this site.You ignored multiple warnings that deletion was permanent and irreversible. You also ignored the warning referred to here https://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/#troubleshooting

I don’t see any WordPress.com sites in your account. What domain are you trying to recover?

Thanks so much for trying to recover this for me. To create a new wordpress site, do I need to create a new domain name? When I click to create a new site and enter asteradvisory, it tells me the domain is already taken. I don’t really want to register something else that will be ‘eaten up’ by the system. Can you please advise what I should call the new wordpress.com site in order to retrieve my old domain name? Sorry for the complications.

asteradvisory2.wordpress.com will work. It’s easy to remember and won’t block other users.
