-
Below is what I asked GoDaddy about my email not working after I directed my domain to wordpress. Please read and help me fix this issue.
Thanks
JasonQuestion: I recently changed my nameservers for this domain to point to my wordpress site and now I can’t get my email through my gmail, but I can send email. was I supposed to leave the existing name servers and add for the wordpress. or remove all and add new. not sure how to fix. please assist. thank you.
_____________________________________________________________________Dear Jason,
Thank you for responding with that additional information.
What appears to have happened is that when you updated your nameservers to WordPress’s nameservers, all of your MX records were deleted. In order to restore whatever settings you had while you were on GoDaddy’s nameservers, you will need to contact WordPress and request directions on updating your MX Records. Once you have this information, you will be able to update your records to whatever they were previously. Please understand that changes to the DNS such as this may take up to 48 hours to resolve.
Please let us know if we can help you in any other way.
Sincerely,
Madilyn P.
