Need old domain

  Hi I had purchased allienimmons.com through WordPress but it recently expired. I want to buy it to host my godaddy site on. How do I go about getting this domain back? Thanks

  I’ll be happy to contact the registrar to see if we can restore allienimmons.com to your account, but I cannot guarantee that we will be able to get the domain back. If I am successful, I can send you a manual payment request form for you to repurchase the domain.

  Hi thank you! I want to be clear – I do not want to continue hosting through WordPress. I want to be able to have full ownership over this domain and host wherever I want. I was trapped hosting with WordPress for a full year before this domain expired. Can you please confirm that by purchasing through the link you sent, I will be able to use this domain for another website hosted elsewhere?

  Hi there,

  Yes, the good news is that you did not lose the domain and you always need to renew the domain at your current host and transfer the domain to your preferred host rather than cancel the domain in hopes to register it elsewhere.

  If you cancel your domain or let it expire, there is a huge chance that someone else would register it from up under you. You do not need to keep the domain with us. You can transfer the domain over to your preferred domain. We have instructions on how to do so here:

  To only (somewhat) bad news is that since the site has been re-registered with us, you have to keep it here for 60 days before transferring it over to your preferred host. It’s an ICANN policy, not ours. But, meanwhile, you can still use your domain over the next 60 days by pointing the nameservers over to your new host. It’ll allow you to use your domain at your preferred host while still having it temporarily registered here. Instructions on changing nameservers can be found on our support page:
