Need settings to have image in blog remain there after being clicked once

    Hi. I’ve been reading and searching for 4 hours today. Also I’ve been trying to duplicate one of my posts that works the way I want, taking those settings and applying them to other posts of mine that are not functioning the way I want and I’ve gotten nowhere.

    The post functionality I seek is having one image in my post with text before and after it. Then click the image once and it remains embedded within the post but is larger with text that describes image under it. (I copied text that I want to describe image into the “description” field and that worked for the one post that is ok) the problems I have is that on some posts, one click causes the image to be full-sized in browser with nothing else ( no blog, no description)

    additionally, I can’t seem to duplicate the grey border with caption text that is in one of my blog posts.

    I don’t know how else to describe these things, I’m sure WordPress has a language, but I haven’t found the manual yet.

    Any ideas?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Grey border with text shows up when you add text in the Caption box. Sometimes, if you’re not careful with your cursor when you try to add or type something right after a captioned image, you might accidentally insert it before the actual end of the image code and the code and the result gets messed up. In that case better delete the image and re-insert it.

    The “post functionality you seek” is attachment pages. See here:

    Uploading and inserting images: the three (plus one) link options

    Thanks for the reply. The document you linked to is missing how to link the image to the attachment pages, it only says to chose ‘none’ if you want it to not be in the attachement page. If I use the link to the file, then only the image is loaded. So I have the two options covered, no link, link only to image, but I’m missing the third piece of info, the url for the attachment page.

    Sorry? My post says (and shows, and explains) “the three link options”.

    @nqtraderjay
    When you are inserting an image, and want the attachment page, choose, “post url”
