  To avoid confusion, there are three different “WordPress” at play here:

  1. The free, open-source WordPress software which powers your website.
  2. WordPress.org which is the open-source project that works on the WordPress software and where you can get the software for free to use on your own hosting provider.
  3. WordPress.com which is a managed hosting provider of the WordPress software and with whom you’re contacting now.

  Since your site was not hosted with us, we’re limited in what we can help with and advise. But I can get you pointed in the right direction to get help.

  Unless you had downloaded a backup from Siteground before your hosting account was canceled and if Siteground does not still retain a backup of the site, then I’m afraid your site would be lost.

  But, you should contact Siteground as soon as possible as they would be the ones who would be able to help you here.
