Need Site Taken Down

I am a part of an organization called Catholic Gators. I recently started a wordpress blog. I have realized, however, that there is a domain in existence called catholicgators.wordpress.com. This domain is not being used by my organization and has not been used since 2008 or 2009. I would like this site to be taken down because it uses my organization’s name. How can I do this?

Hi there,
We do not take down or reassign existing sites, regardless of whether they are active or not and regardless of whether they match the name of any individual or organisation. The only exception is if they are violating a registered trademark, which is not the case here.
If you would like access to that address, you can try leaving a comment on that site if they are enabled to ask the current owner if they’ll transfer the address to you, but it will be their choice if they want to do it or not. We cannot transfer the site without their permission and we cannot contact them on your behalf, nor provide you with their contact details.
