Need some sort of database

    Greetings all,

    I have recently come into the need of managing some numbers on a daily basis. Right now I am using a spreadsheet but that is no real use when I have to duplicate the sheet for 30 different uses (with up to 15 different categories for each). I am finding it tedious to use Google Docs (or any other spreadsheet), copy the spreadsheet(current), then have to delete the inputted numbs copied, then manually edit the sum function to reflect a cumulative amount from the previous sheet.

    I Basically want to be able to have maybe some sort of drop down, choose the person, and input numbers into a number of categories. Have those categories show a daily total as well as a grand total of previous entries. Then I want the daily/grand totals to be displayed on a web page.

    I’m sure there is some way to do it, and probably simply at that, but I am not sure what the terminology, of what I am trying to accomplish, is. The word ‘database’ is too broad to search for.

    So I appeal to the grand experience of the community and refine my ideas and hopefully find a plugin already existing that will do this task. I hope I got enough info out here to get you guys an idea of what I am looking for.
