Need someone to fix the errors in my account

I have a self-hosted blog and I believe I previously used WordPress.com Stats on a subdomain that I no longer use. The account for this was ”xenhideout”. At a later stage I was forced to make a new account because I could not recover the old one for whatever reason and started using Akismet on that new account ”xenhideout2”.

I am not able to delete my first one (the subdomain) from the WordPress.com admin interface, in fact there is hardly any interface (unless I try to use that abomination that they call Jetpack). I just want to manage it on WordPress.com but that Jetpack option requires me to first install Jetpack on my site for whatever irrelevant reason.

Now it is not even possible to contact support to have them fix it for me. But I am not able to add my site to either WordPress.com account from the Stats interface on my admin interface at my own domain. I get an error:

”The owner of that API Key (xenhideout) is not on the access list for this blog (71335126). Stats was installed using a different API key. The owner of the original key can add users to the access list, or you can contact WordPress.com support.”

And since I can also not delete my account(s) on WordPress.com (how helpful) I cannot ever fix this myself. Luckily, I can ”contact WordPress.com support” it says. How wonderful.

I don’t remember how it was before but WordPress.com admin interface is currently one big mess. Jetpack itself is one big horrendous mess of an abomination of something that should have stayed dead until it was decomposed before it was even born.

I mean I am willing to try Jetpack again (and heavily modify it so as to not have to suffer its hatred so much) but this needs to be fixed first or I won’t have any way of creating a proper account situation.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there!

Unfortunately the Stats plugin is no longer supported or under development. Please install the Jetpack plugin instead:

    http://jetpack.me/

In addition, I’ve made an extra adjustment on our end that should enable you to connect your blog to Jetpack. Can you please try that again? Please let me know if this remains a problem. Thanks!
