Need subscribres transferred to a self hosted site

  I set up my own hosting and domain @ kalenkimm.com. I have already exported from kalenkimm.wordpress.com and imported the XML file. And I have activated Jetpack on the new site. Last thing that it looks like needs to be fixed is to have my subscribers moved over. I saw on the forums that you guys can help with this last bit?

  Also, curious if I should then redirect the old site to the new site for the $13/year. In laymen’s terms, can you explain the benefit to me? I am moving to my own domain to improve analytics/traffic and hopefully start ads.

  To double check:

  Old site: kalenkimm.wordpress.com
  New site: kalenkimm.com

  Correct?

  And site redirect would be useful if you have a lot of people who know of your site being located at kalenkimm.wordpress.com. Site Redirect would send those visitors to your new site.

  Yes, that is correct. If you can go ahead and transfer the subscribers, I would greatly appreciate it. And based on your recommendation, I will go ahead and set up the redirect after that.
