Need subscription site

  I am currently building a subscription website on Siteground using WordPress. Looks like I will be needing a plugin for the subscription portion. I want to avoid plugins. If I purchase WordPress.com premium plan ($15/month) and migrate my site from Siteground will I be able to use the Premium Content Block at no additional cost to create my subscription site? Or are there hidden paid plugins that are still necessary?

  The Premium Content Block is available to use on all sites hosted through a WordPress.com paid plan.

  You can use this block without needing the support of any additional paid plugins.

  OK, great. Looks like I will go ahead and migrate my site from being hosted on Siteground to WordPress.com to take advantage of the Premium Content Block. Are there good migration instructions that you can point me too? Will my domain name be maintained?

  I’d recommend checking out the following guides as you migrate your website to WordPress.com:
  – How to Transfer a Site to WordPress.com in 6 Steps
  – Import an Entire WordPress Site

  And yes you will be able to keep your same domain name! To continue using your same domain name, you could do one of two things:

  1) Transfer your domain to WordPress.com. Through this option, both your domain and website would be hosted by WordPress.com.

  2) Keep your domain hosted by Siteground, but have it point to your new website hosted by WordPress.com. This is called domain connection.
