Need templetoneducationfoundation.wordpress.com completely deleted
-
I requested to have templetoneducationfoundation.wordpress.com blog deleted however the site is still up and running and has now been disassociated from my account so I no longer have control over anything for it.
-
Please complete the form for account recovery at this link https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery first and submit it to the Account Recovery Staff so they can contact you by email ie. not on these public support forums which are available to everyone with internet access.
To delete a WordPress.COM blog you must be logged in under the exact same username account that registered it. To prevent accidental or inadvertent deletion of blogs, there are multiple warnings given that blog deletion is permanent and irreversible. Lastly, a verification link is sent in an email and must be clicked to delete a blog. If clicking that link does not work then copy and paste it into your upper browser window and click.

I have tried all of these. I never received the confirmation email for the deletion request. Now when I log in under my account (tef4ourschools) the blog does not show up. This means I have lost the ability to request deletion since it does not show up under my account.
However the blog is still live for some reason: http://www.templetoneducationfoundation.wordpress.com.

I can get into my account just fine – it shows no blogs now – yet the blog is still live.

Any update on this? I really need my blog to be taken down because it is conflicting with our new website http://www.templetoneducationfoundation.com.
I don’t want people accidentally going to the wordpress version and getting confused.
-
I never received the confirmation email for the deletion request.
Please check in your email client spam/ junk mail filter as well as your “social” tab in Gmail, if you use it. If it’s not there then please post the URL of the blog starting with http:// I’ll tag this thread for a Staff follow-up. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

THANK YOU – THANK YOU!!!
Yes I searched far and near for the email. Spam folders, etc., etc. I even changed the email address to send to and tried to have a deletion confirmation email come to that but no luck.

Is the site that needs to be taken down.

I’d like to assist you with deleting this site but I cannot do so unless I hear from the blog owner, who is a different user.
Please ask the blog owner to contact us for further assistance.

What email address do you need communication from?
My name is Brian Weiss and I am Vice President of Templeton Education Foundation this year. I own a company called http://www.itech-solutions.com and we donated a website to Templeton Education Foundation which can be found here: http://www.templetoneducationfoundation.com.
I am able to access the original wordpress account (tef4ourschools) that setup the blog templetoneducationfoundation.wordpress.com however since my deletion request I have lost control of the blog.
I was unable to receive the deletion request either using the (email visible only to moderators and staff) or the new email I entered (email visible only to moderators and staff).
We ultimately want to delete the blog and our tef4ourschools account. I don’t want to delete the account yet until I verify the blog has finally been deleted.
If you are unable to help me can you at least re-associate the blog with the tef4ourschools account so I can attempt the deletion process again?

I’m very sorry, but there is a single user on the blog templetoneducationfoundation.wordpress.com and without that user’s express consent, I cannot add users or delete the blog. That user is the creator of the blog and has always been the owner, and that user is not tef4ourschools.
As a courtesy to you, I have privately contacted this user and conveyed your request to them. If they wish to comply and delete the site, I have sent them a link for how to do so. Please note, however, that as the site owner they are under no obligation to do so.
-
Ok – this is making more sense now, and why I wasn’t receiving the emails for confirmation of deletion.
This must be Alisha Cannon who is no longer with our organization. I really hope she gets the message.
If I would have known that the tef4ourschools wordpress account did not own that blog I wouldn’t have deleted, and just removed all the content from the pages so that Google would stop indexing the content confusing users about which website is ours.
I will keep my fingers crossed.

Your best bet is to NOT delete the site – if you set if Private it starts to be removed from search results – you can clear the content and leave a note that you have moved – much better than crashing all the search engine traffic –
Deleting a site takes away ALL your options – my opinion deleting the site is the worst thing to do
another option is to Buy the site redirect to send all the traffic to your new site – even if you are not using a version of WordPress software – search visitors will end up on your new site
