  WordPress.com doesn’t offer any free trial features so if you want to build a site using paid features you will have to take one of WordPress.com plans depending on the feature.

  WordPress.com provide a refund policy for 14 days which means you can request a refund for the plan within 14 days of purchase and 96 hrs. for domain registration. So if you don’t like the plan you can always request a refund from your WordPress.com dashboard.

  In case you want to build the site using the free feature then you don’t need to purchase anything and you can start creating your site from the WordPress.com dashboard.
