Need to cancel a domain name (past refund date)
-
I need to cancel a registered domain name but there’s no option to do so on the My Domains page.
I know I’m past the refund date and I honestly do not want a refund, I just do not want to have this domain name anymore. There aren’t any clear instructions on how to do this, I just assume you have to let the renewal run it’s course and disable automatic renew.

We cannot help until you provide relevant details.
What is the domain URL?
What is the underlying .wordpress.com URL?
Which username account registered the .wordpress.com blog and purchased the domain mapping upgrade for it? -
My original blog and address was soulboundcrafts.wordpress.com (username vrobertson79 registered for all of this).
I purchased soulboundcrafts.com several days ago and decided to change the name and registered tresblah.com. I tried mapping soulboundcrafts.wordpress.com to tresblah.com and it just wasn’t working. So I created a new wordpress blog with tresblah.wordpress.com and tried to map the new domain to it, it was showing up as soulboundcrafts.com even though I updated primary domain, etc.
I ended up cancelling tresblah.com (purchased 4/30/14 and cancelled on the same day). I transferred soulboundcrafts.com over to tresblah.wordpress.com.
So currently, tresblah.com domain is gone. I still have tresblah.wordpress.com and soulboundcrafts.com registered. But when I try to go to tresblah.wordpress.com, it brings me to soulboundcrafts.wordpress.com has been deleted.
Soulboundcrafts.com domain is still registered and I want to cancel it. It’s past the refund date, but that’s fine. I just want to give up rights to that domain name or want tresblah.wordpress.com cleared so it’s not pointing to a deleted blog.
Confusing…I know.
