Need to cancel premium trial

  Hi there

  I just signed up for a trial of premium to see if this is what i needed but it doesn’t suit my needs.

  I can’t see anywhere i can cancel, can you please advise how? My site is mercuryvillas.wordpress.com.

  Did you try going to Store>My Upgrades? I think there should be a “cancel” link right on the trial upgrade of that page.

  In addition to what designsimply has asked, are you logged in under the exact same username account that registered the blog and set up the 14 day trial upgrade? That’s required to cancel the trial.

  Provided you are logged in under the same username account that registered the blog and purchased the trial upgrade, you ought to be able cancel trial upgrades under Store → My Upgrades in your dashboard at any time and also disable auto-renew.

  I also need to cancel the trial, but can’t see Cancel, only Purchase.

  Am I missing something?

  Can you see a gear icon? If you click the gear, does the cancel link show up then?

  Thank you very much for this. I’m sorry about the delay in replying, but I was away for a few days.

  Yes, the gear worked and I have now cancelled the trial. I was reluctant to click on the gear icon, as it is next to Purchase, and I thought it might be related and trigger the purchase. I am very new to this!

  That is very kind of you!

  I am involved with a voluntary group with a website created through WordPress and have offered to help the webmaster with maintaining the website. I created my website merely as a test to find out how it works and to try out changes. I had taken the free premium trial because this would have more features to play with, and had always intended to cancel it. However, to mirror the group’s website, I find I would need a hosted WordPress.org website, so am considering this. (Mostly, I just like learning things – and am having fun finding out.)

  I’m sure the website for your volunteer group will turn out awesome—both WordPress.com and WordPress.org setups are good in different ways. :)
