Need to cancel wordpress import!
-
Can a moderator kill this import? Import file XML included 78000(!) pending/spam comments, creating an import file of 58MB. I deleted the comments and re-exported a 1.6MB file, and now just need to cancel the current/hung import and then import the new file. Thank you!

Hi there,
I think that’s the most impressive spam-bloat I’ve ever seen on an import file :D
Consider the import…taken care of. Let me know if you run into any trouble with the new one.

Thanks … though I’m still seeing the spinning donut when I return to the Import page to try the new, appropriately sized import. Does it need another kick/nudge from your side? Thanks.

Perhaps I can still upload the file from this location instead of the main Settings -> General -> Import screen?
https://baldmike.wordpress.com/wp-admin/admin.php?import=wordpress
This page is prompting for the file.

Have successfully imported the file and all looks good. Though still seeing that spinning donut on the import page.

The persistent spinner on the import page is a known issue, and we’re trying to figure out the cause. Can you please try a few things for me that might help us narrow that down? In each case, check My Site ->Settings and check if the spinner still shows on the Import page.
