Need to center the copyright info in the footer using Twenty Ten Theme.
-
I was referred here by a wordpress employee in chat. She said I should use css to create a footer with centered text. How do I do that? I’ve googled this and it appears you need a self-hosted site in order to get access to the footer.php file?
Also, I have the premium package. Can I get help via email? I feel I am entitled to that. How do I get email support?
Thanks,

Hi! Since you’ve got the Premium Package you can edit CSS on your site!
To do so go to My Sites → Customize → CSSCopy and paste the following Snippet to your CSS page and apply the changes. This should centre the copyright notice.
.copytext {
text-align: center;
float: none;
}Please let me know if that helped! For more information on CSS and customizing your site, I’d suggest checking out the Editing CSS Support Page.

Hi Mindy, we can add the copyright to the footer with a CSS pseudo selector. I’ve centered things, including the existing footer credits and also included some other styling to make your copyright stand out more. Give this a try and see what you think.
#site-generator { width: 100%; text-align: center; } #site-generator:before { content: " © Mindy Ogg"; display: block; margin-bottom: 10px; font-size: 120%; font-style: normal; } -
thesacredpath,
Wow! Love it! Thanks so much for doing that! I must learn more about css.
And I just aligned the site-description with the site-title. I had some css code that I hadn’t tried yet that was left as a comment. It used to be that the site-description was a little bit lower than the title, and that bugged me. So that is out of the way also! :D
crazywickedawesome, many thanks to you as well. :) I’ve bookmarked that site. I’ve coded before. It’s fun to learn when you don’t need something.
Thanks to all. This topic is resolved. Have a great day! (I’m happy. Can you tell?)

One issue just came up. There’s a little smiley on the very very bottom of the page as if it were hand written. I didn’t do that! And I don’t see that in the code you gave me, thesacredpath. Not sure if I was hacked or not. How to get rid of it? Thx. ~Mindy
