Need to change domain name

I need to change my blog from advgrrls to advgrrl
Is this possible without losing content and I am not even sure if it’s a available. If it is…when I renew will everything from advgrrls wlays be forwarded to the new address?

Register and map advgrrl.com – yes you will be charged for the new name.
You will want to set advgrrl.com as the Primary in the domain mapping process. You will want to keep advgrrls.com. registered and mapped while search engines & others learn that you have changed the URL of your site

and when the advgrrls.com expires? I just hope I get the word out and people will find me? One more question, do you know if people goggle advgrrl.com will it pop up like it does advgrrls.com as a popular site?

It will take search engines a few months to wake up that you have moved and transfer the indexing to the new name. By keeping the original name when people click on it – they will end up at the new site – that should help train people.
A good idea would be once you get the new name working, make a Post that says you have changed the name and ask people to update their bookmarks

I see that my new name is the new primary…do I have to set up the entire blog all over or will the old domain transfer my content to the new domain? I really hope I am not going to start from scratch????

You should have mapped advgrrl.com to advgrrls.wordpress.com not advgrrl.wordpress.com – by mapping to advgrrls.wordpress.com your original content would be displayed when visitors go to advgrrl.com.
You need to transfer the domain mapping for advgrrl.com from advgrrl.wordpress.com to advgrrls.wordpress.com for your original content to display when someone visits advgrrl.com
To transfer the mapping, while in the dashboard of
https://advgrrl.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=my-upgrades
Click on Transfer to another Site – follow the instructions EXACTLY – spell everything correctly, then when the domain mapping is transferred to advgrrls.wordpress.com set the Primary Domain to advgrrl.com
Dashboard >> Store >> Domains >> Set Primary
I will also flag this for staff attention if you need more help, but they are backed up for several days and many pages. On the good side, you have the new domain name under your control, just don’t tell anyone about the new domain name until the mapping is straightened out.

No, you won’t screw anything up. It sounds like you purchased advgrrl.com and advgrrls.com but you also have advgrrl.wordpress.com and advgrrls.wordpress.com. So far, what you’ve done is map advgrrls.com to advgrrls.wordpress.com and advgrrl.com to advgrrl.wordpress.com. You can map both domains to the same blog then set the primary.

OK…so, I want the content from advgrrls.com to be moved to advgrrl.com

Don’t move any content, not required – just transfer the domain mapping for advgrrl.com from advgrrl.wordpress.com to advgrrls.wordpress.com – then set advgrrl.com as the primary domain name – all your old links will work – all your followers will see nothing but a change of domain name

you are going to LOL but I am not sure how to do this mapping or redirect. I sort would like if possible a screen shot as to what I need to do? I know I am a PITA but I just am still not sure why I am not getting this..it’s probably really easy

I don’t think I did this correctly. When I search for advgrrl.com it still shows a blank blog
