  This is my domain hosted by Ionos. However my webdeveloper has used WordPress to develop this site. Can WordPress host this site instead, ie can I transfer the host from Ionos to WP? Also how much will it cost?

  You can build a site using the wordpress software at the host Ionos or you can move your content/domain from ionos to the host WordPress.com if you prefer.
