Need to change the format of a theme back to the original.

    I paid for 2 upgraded sites. I really want to use Matala theme. But, I changed the background and it removed the bright art and is now solid. Will someone please help me change the theme back to how it’s shown in the gallery. Also, I would like to discuss the themes that I purchased. I am not sure that I need what I purchased, regarding additional themes. I’m not asking for my money back, but I would like to discuss how to use them. Right now, I’m not even seeing the options of the purchased themes. Most importantly, please tell me how to change Matala so it is exactly how it is shown in WordPress’s gallery. I did not mean to remove the colorful art. Thank you, Alyssa

    Hi Alyssa,

    I see that you have a site using the Twenty Twelve theme here: http://lifemakesthegirl.com/

    You’re welcome to switch to the Matala theme by going to Appearance > Themes in your dashboard. You can use the search box there to search for “Matala” and then click the “Activate” link under the theme to use it on your blog. We have more information about how to find and activate new themes here: Themes

    If the paisley art background isn’t showing up after you activate the theme, you can go to Appearance > Customize to open the theme customizer. Open the Colors section and under “Background Color” click on “Select Color.” Then click the “Clear” button on the right to go back to the default background. Click the “Save” button in the customizer, and then you can click the “Cancel” button to close the customizer.

    Also, I would like to discuss the themes that I purchased. I am not sure that I need what I purchased, regarding additional themes. I’m not asking for my money back, but I would like to discuss how to use them.

    I checked WordPress.com records, and I see that you cancelled your theme purchases already. We issued you a full refund for those two premium themes.

    Hi Rachel,

    I walked through the steps, and changed the background color to clear, and now it’s just a light grey. :( Any other suggestions? I am looking for a default button or something of the sort…
