need to change url
-
Hello,
I have a self-hosted site, but because on WordPress.com this website is listed as a wrong URL “offbeattravelling.com” the jetpack plugin does not work properly anymore.
How can I change the URL? If I log in on the site (wordpress.org), it is correct but the problem is with the registration on wordpress.com
Thanks
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

We are unable to provide support for any sites that are not hosted here at WordPress.COM. WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support forums. http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
Some JetPack solutions are here http://jetpack.me/support/
Others are in the JetPack support forum at WordPress.org
http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/jetpackIf you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the Theme support forums there.
However, if you can’t find help at either one then you can file a JetPack support ticket here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/?jetpack=needs-service

I am not sure what is going wrong, but why is my wordpress.org blog then listed under my account on wordpress.com? This I think it what is creating problems. Can I delete it on the .com?

It’s listed because you’re using Jetpack. Jetpack connects you to the WP.com community, but it does not actually change the software you’re using to WP.com.

I have a domain (winjama.net). My URL is currently winjama.net/blog/ because I was going to have a web site as well as a blog. Things change and I’m only going to go with a blog. I’d like to change the URL to just winjama.net. Can I do that by simply moving my blog directory to the root or is that being too simple minded? I have a feeling it is, but I don’t know how I would do it otherwise. If you could provide some guidance, I’d be very appreciative.
Thanks -
We cannot provide guidance because, again, THAT IS NOT A WORDPRESS.COM BLOG. Please go to WordPress.org for help with that.

I re-installed the plugin, that did the trick as it made a new connection on the correct URL.

That’s good news but do be aware that you do not come to Sears for issues with Simpsons products and you do not come to WordPress.COM support for WordPress.ORG software install support.
