Need to combine 2 sites

    Hello.
    I have no idea how this happened but I’m sure it’s my fault.
    I paid the domain fee for @rhsseniorparty when I inherited the site from last years team.
    I created myself another user account (so I thought) and was making some adjustments. When I added ‘2023rhsseniorparty’ somewhere it must of created another entire site. My co worker was making updates to @2023rhsseniorparty and I was wondering why I wasn’t seeing changes on @rhsseniorparty. We want to use @rhsseniorparty but wouild like to migrate work from @2023rhsseniorparty over before we delete it. Is this possible?

    Hi there:

    You can export your content (Posts, Pages, Media) from one site and import it into the other. However, any theme changes you’ve made will need to be recreated on the other site.

    Import: https://wordpress.com/support/import/import-a-sites-content/

    Note that you should import the content before deleting the site as the export file only has references to the content; the import process is what moves that content over to the destination site.

    I paid the domain fee for @rhsseniorparty when I inherited the site from last years team.

    The site https://rhsseniorparty.wordpress.com/ is in Coming Soon status, and the site https://2023rhsseniorparty.wordpress.com/ has content, but neither is a domain. So I presume the domain needs to be added at some point.

    There is presently no account with username rhsseniorparty. So maybe a new account needs to be created as well?

    Hi @musicdoc1 thanks for that slething. There is a domain on that account (rhsseniorparty.com) but it is not set as primary so would not be immediately visible.

    Are you sure you spelled your other username correctly? We do not show a record of rhsseniorparty as being a user on our service. However, since you have login access under your 2023rhsseniorparty account, you should see everyone else that has access here: https://wordpress.com/people/team/

    If you look closely, it appears that rhsseniorparty is not correct since the name in there contains an extra letter. If you have lost the ability to log in to any account you see there, you can enter the correct username in this form and we will send you a password reset email.
