Need to completely reset Twenty Fourteen to default
-
Hi,
I posted a question about this yesterday, but cannot find the original post and have received no response. So I apologize if this post is redundant.
Could someone please tell me how to completely reset the Twenty Fourteen theme? I added a header and it messed up ALL the design settings. Now I just want to start over completely as if I had never done any design editing. This should result in a set of default widgets in a black left column and a thin black title strip at the top of the page with NO HEADER SPACE and NO FEATURE SPACE. I’ve already set the color back to default and removed header and featured images. I’ve also tried switching to another theme, then changing back to Twenty Fourteen in the hopes that it would reset, but it doesn’t. It still shows a blank space on the homepage where a featured image would go and shows my sticky post there.
I really need to get this page up and running by the end of the day, so any help you can give would be very much appreciated!!
Thank you in advance :)

Already answered and tagged for staff assistance here: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/how-do-i-delete-the-feature-space-from-twenty-fourteen-homepage?replies=4

Please keep in mind that it is a Sunday and staff and volunteer presence is lower than is normal for week days. Also keep in mind that staff handle support requests based on the timestamps and to keep starting new threads and replying on your existing threads can actually cause a delay in them getting to you. Please be patient while waiting for them to answer the thread I already tagged for you.

Thanks, Kokkieh! I actually had not seen your reply on the other post when I posted this since I never got an email notifying me (not sure why, the “notify me via email” option was checked). Also, I didn’t know how to find the original post and had tried searching the forums for it, so I thought maybe I did something wrong and it either didn’t post or didn’t post in the correct place. Anyway, I apologize again for the redundancy.

No problem. That’s why I included the link to the original thread for you. (If you didn’t get the notification emails they might be landing in your spam folder.)@justjennifer
