Holy crap – this has got to be the most difficult website to navigate to get help or a contact phone number… So I tried to upgrade to the trial (14 day free).. I enter my amex number and it gives me an alert back saying the amount has to be charged in US dollars even though the amount is in CDN. That being said.. I did 5 attempts at processing and my credit card company say the min pre authorization and there are funds avail…. what the heck is happening.. this is way too much crap at the onset of this – what happens later??????

Hi.. That thread means nothing and does not help. As I am in Canada, the payment is listed in CAD. It is a problem, not with Amex but with the wordpress. The card was authorized but the wordpress “handler” does’t know what to do next … or something like that. I personally think this is lame and the support is even more lame – (not that this is great english)

wow this really is the most difficult site in trying to find help for an issue. I’ve been reading forums about taking old domain names and saw that I would need to contact the owner of an unused domain…How do I do this or can someone give me the contact information?

Well, I signed up with theblogpress.com – support is awesome and fast – still powered by wordpress but at least there is support that answers and gets things done next to immediate.

If a site already exists (like the site at https://soyunapersona.wordpress.com/), it’s entirely up to the person who created it if they want to give it up. You’ll need to get in touch with that person (for example, by leaving a comment on the site) to ask if they’re willing to transfer it to you.
Alternately, if you like, you can get a custom domain name of your choice like soyunapersona.net. That way, you can register whatever free *.wordpress.com address you choose and replace it with that custom domain name, so your site’s visitors only see that custom domain.

Hi, but what if there is no place on the site to leave a comment? Their website is nearly blank with nothing on it and no way to contact them.

If you aren’t able to contact the site owner, you won’t be able to get that address. Only the site owner can give permission to transfer a site and its address to a new owner.

i paid $17 to use my own domain a couple of weeks ago but I still get server not known, also when I click on the wordpress link. I followed the instructions and now I’d like to delete my blog and start again or go elsewhere, preferably with a refund. You’re very hard to contact, put people off the upgrade I’m sure

Pages where made last year ! I tried to have them totally removed and discontinued I was not refinded fully nor were they removed ! I was in hostpial after a cancer surgery and not prssifn the correct things! I’ve tried to remedy this you can see intense bilking and refunds ! Yet I had two pages still and I don’t want any of them up ! I am to sick to do this I my own no one is belong now I’m told I’m charges Xmas as charged for a custome theme ? And they want money!? I want these pages removed ! I’m sick I’m on to many meds or get them off I cannot think straight my stomach and upper intestine were removed ! Please delete all refund and please i don’t even want a free page ? Help ! -

It may take some time for that refund to appear on your bank statement, but you can find the refund receipt now in your Billing History.
