I have another blog for which I accidentally “activated” a new theme, without realizing I was signed in!
Can you help me “deactivate” that without losing all my data already up, linked and posted, and get me back to the Theme I had for the last Year?????? That blog was under De Etta Lerch divorcareonthesunporch.com.
I really want that back and don’t have the time to re-design!!!!!The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You will just need to log into your WordPress.com site’s dashboard and go to Appearance–>Themes and switch back to your old theme.
-
Well, apparently it is gone. i themes 2 does not seem to exist anymore.
Now the theme I presently have does not appear to have all the links I had installed either. I don’t know where they are or went. and I don’t even remember what all I had there nor where to get it all back. Or, am I missing something important? -
iTheme2 is still an available theme:
http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/itheme2/
It’s actually our 26th most popular theme.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!
How did you find it? I put that theme in the search box for themes and it told me ‘zero’, maybe I spaced it wrongly.. I see you did not leave any spaces in any part of it, and I suspect that is where I went wrong. I am starting to ferret out my old links and stuff…. -
Can you tell me, Did I lose all my radio station links and interent page links in this mess I made? Or is there a secret to finding this stuff back too?
-
I’m not sure that I understand what you mean by “radio station links”. Where were these links located on your site? Were they in the sidebar or a footer? Or were they a page or post?
-
I had them on the side bar. I don’t see anything but catagories which I did put back… Maybe I am not looking in the right way and maybe they are still around!
-
If you go to Appearance–>Widgets in your dashboard and scroll down towards the bottom, you will see a list of “inactive widgets”. All of your previous sidebar stuff should be there.
-
OK, I found the place that you spoke of….and I “saved” the blue button at the bottom, but they aren’t going back over.. And for some unknown reason to me… all the categories are listed in sentence form across, in gray, the top of the page under the picture!??????
-
Are you sure that you didn’t make changes to Appearance–> Menus? The gray navigation bar at the top is controlled by the menu settings, not the widgets.
-
I am not sure of anything.
How do I make these things go to where they belong?
The search box and links to side bar…
and the categories to under or inside the search please? -
The stuff on the sidebar is all done through widgets. If you go to Appearance–>Widgets in your dashboard and scroll down towards the bottom, you will see a list of “inactive widgets”. All of your previous sidebar stuff should be there.
The gray links on the top are all done through menus. Do not go to Appearance–> Menus if you are trying to work on your sidebar widgets.

You told me to drag the widgets over to the side bar… which when I first set it up…meant drag to the “right” of the page. They go over, but jump right back to the bottom left page where I found them.
-
This might be easier for both of us. Can you list the widgets you want on the sidebar, in the order that you’d like them displayed? Then I’ll set them up for you.
No sense in creating more frustration.
