Need to delete a blog so I don't have to pay for it anymore. Help!

I have a wordpress account with two sites (blogs). I don’t need one of those sites anymore. I want to delete. I’m being told I cannot. Why? I’ll still have the other, and will still use wordpress, I just don’t use one of the blogs anymore and don’t want to pay to maintain it since I’m not using it.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

You were unable to cancel your WordPress.com Premium purchase because you have a domain registered through the Premium upgrade, so we must handle the purchase cancellation manually.

Do you want to completely cancel one of the domains? Please note that once it’s been cancelled, it may not become available in the future to register again. We typically would advise against this course of action unless you are certain you do not plan to use the domain in the future.

Please reply with the domain and site that you would like to cancel. Once we cancel/transfer the domain you can permanently delete the site.

Let me know if you have any questions with this!

    Hi Paul,

Thanks for the confirmation! The domain: mp3program.org has been canceled as requested! You can now permanently delete the site: mp3programdotorg.wordpress.com.

    Please follow the guide below:

    http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/delete-site/

Please read the warnings and advice before deleting a site, as we can’t revert a site deletion for any reason.

If you want to hide your site instead, you can use the following guide to make your site private so only you and other members of the site can view it when logged in:
