Need to Delete Inactive Site
-
I had a Word Press blog that was managed through Go Daddy. When it came time to renew the blog, I decided to cancel the service thinking it would no longer show up in search engines. However, it is still showing up in searches which is a problem because I am now doing my blog through Wix. How can I get this deleted for good? I can no longer access it via Go Daddy.

Hi,
It appears that your website uses the self-hosted version of WordPress rather than WordPress.com, which is what this forum is designed to help with.
You can post your question in WordPress.org forum:
https://wordpress.org/support/forums/For more information here is the support documentation link below:
https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress.com forum helps the sites hosted on WordPress.com only
WordPress.com and WordPress.org are both different platforms, you can find more information for this here:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/You’ll need a free WordPress.org account to post – if you don’t already have one, you can register here:

Hi there,
There’s nothing you’d be able to do via GoDaddy about this, and the WordPress.org forums also wont’ be able to help you.
It can take weeks or even months after taking a site offline before it will disappear from search engines. This is just how search engines work. You can try contacting Google to ask them to remove the site, but it will be more effective to just focus on creating new content for your current site so it will get indexed faster and start pushing down your old site in search results.
