  I need help editing my footer. I am not sure where to go in the admin portion to be able to edit the text in the footer

  What is the address of the site you are referring to?

  You can choose among several options for the footer credit in order to minimize its presence on your site. Under My Sites → Customize you can see the different options available in the Footer Credit menu under site identity. wp-admin/customize.php
